Backdoor Slider Media Launches New Baseball Website

Bronx, NY, August 1, 2008—Backdoor Slider Media, Inc. has launched Out Of Write Field, http://www.write-field.com, a Major League Baseball news aggregator and blogger community.
Blogs continue to take the internet by storm, and with Major League Baseball (MLB) enjoying the most popularity it’s had since before the last players’ strike, more and more baseball blogs are started by fans each year. At the moment, however, a positive relationship between baseball bloggers and MLB does not exist the way it does between the sport and other, more traditional media outlets. Out Of Write Field was started to help begin the process of developing such a relationship.
“The goal of the site is to showcase all that is right about baseball blogging,” said Bernadette Pasley, the site’s Founder and Managing Blogger. “The image of the blogger being someone who lives with his mother and sits at a basement computer wearing pajamas, making up hurtful things about baseball players is, for the most part, just a stereotype. In reality, most baseball bloggers are simply passionate fans who love following and writing about the greatest game in the world, and they have no ill-intentions.”
Unlike traditional aggregators, Out Of Write Field list links to articles from only its member blogs. Site features include a blogger spotlight corner, in which a new blogger is featured periodically, as well as a featured blog section. Members also have opportunities to receive review copies of baseball-related merchandise. Future features and services include a blogger forum and exclusive print, audio and video content for members to use on their individual blogs.
